- Hello and thanks for stopping by my site! I’m a Special Education teacher at Norton High School, MA and I love it! I can’t imagine having another occupation. But, school isn’t my whole life. The love of my life is my spoiled rotten 12 yr old Cairn Terrier named Buddy Elvis. He was a rescue - found off petfinder.com- a searchable database of animals that need homes from more than 9,000 animal shelters and adoption agencies across the USA- basically you can find any breed and any age you want- all that need a home. THis is great! It is so nice to know of so many successful people who stutter. There seems to be a lot in the sports world! I stutter too and am part of The National Stuttering Association (NSA), which is the largest self-help non-profit organization for people who stutter in the country. They offer several programs which provides the opportunity for people who stutter to meet and interact with other people who stutter at local chapter meetings, workshops and annual conferences in which over 600 people who stutter (including kids and teens) attend each year! We have had keynotes speakers at our conferences who also stutter such as Vice PResident Joe Biden, Bob Love (Chicago Bulls), Annie Glenn (wife of Senator John Glenn), Adrian Peterson (Chicago Bears), John Stossel and Arthur Blank (owner of the Atlanta Falcons)...just to name a few!
